I'm a marketing professional, social worker and author of the memoir,The Pornographer's Daughter (Skyhorse Publishing, 2014).
I started my career as a geriatric social worker and parlayed my interest in improving people's lives into legislative and communications work on Capitol Hill. I have also served in many marketing and communications' roles at start ups, non-profit organizations and advocacy organizations dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues and improving policies to support behavioral health providers.
I am currently a marketing consultant focused on providing services to non-profit organizations and personal brand coaching for social workers and human services professionals. I also blog for Huffington Post and review books for New York Journal of Books. I was a contributor to The Daily Beast and published articles about the adult industry and the controversy surrounding pornography. I graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Columbia University with a Master of Science in Social Work Degree.
I was born in Philadelphia but raised in Florida, and currently live in McLean, Virginia with my husband and daughter.
